Jenny at Tofuro
Seishi at the unagi restaurant 1/15 sec. hand held, no flash
I am impressed with how well it captures dynamic range, even in jpg. I would have been able to pull more of this back from RAW.
The 10 - 30 VR is very sharp and crisp even fully extended at 30 mm.
The kit zoom is easily focused close up. Relatively smooth bokeh
I was hoping for a little more out of focus background at 2.8
Testing the VR. This was hand held at 1/8 sec.
This time the meter clipped the whites just a little.
Good detail in both the blacks and the whites.
I am a little disappointed with the 10mm pancake. It has too much wide angle distortion to be used as an all purpose lens. I wish it were 18mm instead of 10.
Matrix metering didn't under expose in spite of the strong back light.
More testing of dynamic range. The clerk was in deep shadow, but the camera caught detail. My B&W conversion was a push process which created some film like grain.
Medium close-up still gives some bokeh, but not as smooth
Taken in a cave. hand held at 1/15 sec. ISO at 3200. In camera noise reduction is impressive
Purposely under-exposed this to capture what my eye saw. The camera had a little difficulty focusing in the dark, but was able to capture focus on the number plate.
