Ashikago gakko is the oldest university in Japan. It was established sometime between AD 800 and 1400.

Lake Yu No Ko
In the morning after breakfast we stopped at a coffee shop. We had a wonderful view of the lake and the early morning fishermen while we sipped our coffee.

The 48 curves of Nikko used to be a 2 way road, but there were many accidents, so they have built another similar road on the other side of the mountain, so the old road goes up and the new one goes down. This is a view of the new portion.
